CNC machining has a very high status in CNC equipment, and many parts processing companies will apply it to CNC machining centers, and ETCN is no exception.

As we all know, a CNC machining center is suitable for processing complex, many processes, high requirements, the need to use various types of available machine tools and numerous tooling fixtures, and after multiple clamping and adjustment to complete the processing of parts.

The main object of its processing on the box class parts, complex curved surfaces, shaped parts, disk set plate parts, special processing, and other five categories.

1. Box-type parts

Box-type parts are generally defined as parts with more than one hole system, internal cavities, and a certain proportion in the direction of length, width, and height.

Such parts are widely used in machine tools, automobiles, aircraft manufacturing, and other industries. Box-type parts generally require multi-station hole system and plane processing and have high tolerance requirements, especially since the shape and position tolerance requirements are relatively strict.

For machining centers that process box-type parts, when there are many machining stations, the parts that require multiple rotation angles of the worktable are generally selected for horizontal boring and milling machining centers.

When there are few processing stations and the span is not large, we can choose a vertical machining center to process from one end.

2. Complex surfaces

Complex surfaces occupy a particularly important position in the machinery manufacturing industry, especially in aerospace.

It isn't easy to complete complex surfaces by ordinary machining methods. In China, the traditional method is to use precision casting, and it is conceivable that its precision is low.

Complex surface parts include various impellers, wind guide wheels, spherical surfaces, various surface forming dies, propellers, and propellers of underwater vehicles, and other forms of free-form surfaces.

The more typical ones are:

①Cams and cam mechanisms are widely used in various automatic machines as the basic elements for mechanical information storage and transmission. Machining such parts can choose three-axis, four-axis linkage, or five-axis linkage machining center according to the complexity of the cam.

②Integral impellers are commonly used in compressors of aero-engines, expanders of oxygen-generating equipment, single-screw air compressors, etc. For such a profile, a machining center with more than four axes can be used to complete it.

③Molds such as injection molds, rubber molds, vacuum forming plastic molds, refrigerator foam molds, pressure casting molds, precision casting molds, etc.

④The machining center can mill the spherical surface. Three-axis milling can only be approximated with a ball-end milling cutter, which is inefficient. Five-axis milling can use an end mill as the envelope surface to approximate the spherical surface. When the machining center processes the complex surface, the programming workload is large, and most of them must have automatic programming technology.

3. Special-shaped parts

Special-shaped parts are parts with irregular shapes, and most of them need multi-station mixed processing of point, line, and surface.

The rigidity of special-shaped parts is generally poor. The clamping deformation is difficult to control, the machining accuracy is difficult to guarantee, and some parts are even difficult to complete with standard machine tools.

When processing with a machining center, we should adopt reasonable technological measures, one or two clampings, and use the characteristics of multi-station point, line, and surface mixed processing in the machining center to complete multiple processes or all processes content.

4. Discs, sets, and plates

With keyway, radial hole, or distributed hole system on the end face, surface disc sleeve, or shaft parts. Such as shaft sleeves with flanges, shaft parts with keyways or square heads, etc., as well as plate parts with more holes, such as various motor covers, etc.

Vertical machining centers should be selected for disc parts with distributed holes, curved surfaces on end faces, and horizontal machining centers with radial holes.

5. Special processing

After mastering the functions of the machining center, with certain tooling and special tools, the machining center can be used to complete some special process work, such as lettering, engraving, and engraving patterns on the metal surface.

A high-frequency electric spark power supply is installed on the main shaft of the machining center to perform line scanning surface quenching on the metal surface.

The high-speed grinding head is installed on the machining center, which can realize the grinding of small modulus involute bevel gears and the grinding of various curves and surfaces.

From the above introduction, it is not difficult to see that CNC machining centers have a wide range of applications, and there are many types of workpieces. Therefore, many companies need to use CNC machining centers to process precision parts, molds, etc. Of course, this equipment is expensive and must be maintained and maintained during use.
