When boring, make fine adjustments as needed, but don't blindly trust the scale. It depends on the specific situation. For example, the machining allowance, whether the chip removal at the bottom of the hole is smooth, etc., will affect the stability of the dimensional accuracy, and the speed and feed are also critical. For example, if you leave a lot of allowances, some let the knife down, and the size is not reached. If you adjust the scale in a hurry, it may become too large if you go further down. Another example is that if you see that the whole wall is not bright enough, the next workpiece goes up, the speed is high, the feed is slow, and the workpiece is scrapped when the knife goes down. So tools are dead, and people still need to control them.

How do you know if the scale is accurate?


The scale is a reference. In the case of not cutting anything and cutting reasonably, the scale adjustment is accurate unless the boring tool is broken.The so-called adjustment is to try to make the cutting conditions reasonable. For example, it is selected according to the size of the reserved allowance for fine boring and the size of different holes in the material. Most of these are estimated by experience. So boring, rough boring is also very important.

After the above foundations are in place, use the fine boring tool to bore the hole and leave a few wire allowances. Please don't make it in place at one time. After boring, check whether the size is in error with the allowance you planned to leave in advance. If not, it means that the processing conditions are very good, adjust to the size, and go directly. If there is an error, then analyze the reason, and if the hole is large, whether it is wrapped with iron filings and crushed the workpiece. Look at the hole finish. If it is a little hairy, it is likely the reason, if the hole is small, is it the knife or the knife worn? It is very simple to confirm, not move any parameters, repeat the same program action, bore again, and measure. If the size is OK, it proves that the knife is let go, and there may be more allowance for the rough boring tool, or the rough boring tool is worn. If it is still the same as the original size, the tool is worn out. Change the tooltip, go back ten wires in size, and adjust it according to the situation. In addition, after the dimensional deviation occurs, it is also possible to adjust the parameters. Still, if the batch processing is stable, it is not recommended to use the adjustment parameters because there are too many variables.

We often believe that boring tools are good, but they are not.

Due to the strict manufacturing requirements of boring fine-tuning tools, the static measurement of fine-boring tools produced by many companies is not very accurate.

Some boring tools move when locked, so it is best to choose them that do not need to be locked. Some boring tools have poor rigidity and have to consider the appropriate size of the cutting allowance. Most of the boring tools will be there.
