What materials are available for CNC machining in the future workshop? What technology is CNC machining?

CNC machining usually refers to computer digital control precision machining, CNC machining lathe, CNC machining milling machine, CNC machining boring and milling machine, etc.

CNC machining advantages

1. The number of tooling is greatly reduced, and complex tooling is not required for processing parts with complex shapes. If you want to change the shape and size of the part, you only need to modify the part processing program, which is suitable for new product development and modification.

2. The processing quality is stable, the processing accuracy is high, and the repeat accuracy is high, which is suitable for the processing requirements of aircraft.

3. The production efficiency is higher in the case of multi-variety and small batch production, which can reduce the time of production preparation, machine tool adjustment, and process inspection and reduce the cutting time due to the use of the best cutting amount.

4. It can process complex profiles that are difficult to process by conventional methods and even process some unobservable processing parts.

5. The disadvantage of CNC machining is that the cost of machine tools is expensive and requires a high level of maintenance personnel.

In addition to providing users with 3D printing services, the future workshop can also provide services such as mold opening injection molding, silicone compound molding, and CNC processing. The main materials processed by CNC are as follows:

Aluminum alloy 6061

Aluminum alloy.jpg

6061 aluminum alloy is a high-quality aluminum alloy product produced by heat treatment and pre-stretching process. Although its strength cannot be compared with the 2XXX series or 7XXX series, its magnesium and silicon alloy characteristics are many.

Material advantages:

It has excellent processing performance, excellent welding characteristics, electroplating, good corrosion resistance, high toughness, no deformation after processing, compact material without defects, easy polishing, easy color film, excellent oxidation effect, etc.

aluminum alloy 7075

aluminum alloy 7075.jpg

7075 aluminum alloy is a cold-treated forging alloy with high strength, far better than mild steel. 7075 is one of the most powerful alloys commercially available.

Material advantages:

General corrosion resistance, good mechanical properties, and anode reaction. The finer grains make the deep drilling performance better, the tool wear resistance is enhanced, and the thread rolling is more distinctive.

Red copper

Pure copper (also known as red copper) is a ductile metal with excellent conductivity, and its surface is rose red. It is not pure copper, it contains 99.9% copper, and some other elements are added to improve the surface and performance.

Material advantages:

It has good electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, flexibility, deep drawing, and corrosion resistance.

The electrical and thermal conductivity of copper is second only to silver, and it is widely used to make electrical and thermal equipment. Red copper has good corrosion resistance in the atmosphere, seawater, certain non-oxidizing acids (hydrochloric acid, dilute sulfuric acid), alkali, salt solution, and various organic acids (acetic acid, citric acid), and is used in the chemical industry.

It has good weldability and can be processed into various semi-finished and finished products through cold and thermoplastic processing. In the 1970s, the output of red copper exceeded the total output of other types of copper alloys.

Brass is a copper-zinc alloy, and brass composed of copper and zinc is called ordinary brass.

Material advantages:

Brass has strong wear resistance. Special brass is also called special brass. It has high strength, high hardness, and strong chemical resistance. The mechanical properties of cutting are also outstanding. The seamless copper tube drawn from brass is soft and has strong wear resistance.

45 steel

45 steel is the name in GB, also called "oil steel," this steel has higher strength and better machinability.

Material advantages:

It has high strength and good machinability. After proper heat treatment, certain toughness, plasticity, and wear resistance can be obtained. The material source is convenient. It is suitable for hydrogen welding and argon arc welding.

40Cr steel

40Cr steel.jpg

40Cr is the standard steel grade of China's GB, and 40Cr steel is one of the most widely used steels in the machinery manufacturing industry.

Material advantages:

It has good comprehensive mechanical properties, good low-temperature impact toughness, and low notch sensitivity. The hardenability of the steel is good. In addition to the quenching and tempering treatment, the steel is also suitable for cyanidation and high-frequency quenching treatment. The cutting performance is better.

Q235 steel

Q235 steel.jpg

Q235 steel is a kind of carbon structural steel, and the Q in its steel grade stands for yield strength. Under normal circumstances, the steel is used directly without heat treatment.

Material advantages:

As the thickness of the material increases, its yield value decreases. Due to the moderate carbon content, the overall performance is better, and the strength, plasticity, and welding properties are better matched, and it is the most widely used.

SUS304 steel

SUS304 steel.jpg

SUS304 refers to 304 stainless steel, which has the characteristics of good processing performance and high toughness.

Material advantages:

It has good corrosion resistance, heat resistance, low-temperature strength, mechanical properties, good hot workabilities such as stamping and bending, no heat treatment hardening, and no magnetism.

The above are the main CNC processing materials in the future workshop. If you have other material customization and need to consult, please contact us.
